We are delighted to present the Annual Report for Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership (KRSP), highlighting the progress we have made during 2022.
In 2022, KRSP achieved significant milestones, notably the successful launch and implementation of the Strategic Plan 2022-2025, aiming to empower people and communities in lifelong active recreation. The new strategy focuses on engaging harder-to-reach groups, particularly the LGBTQ+ and Ethnic Minorities communities. KRSP secured Sport Ireland funding for a research project exploring the experiences of LGBTQ+ youth in sports, aiming to develop inclusive initiatives.
KRSP adapted programs, supporting participants’ physical and mental well-being. New initiatives, like Activator Poles and Boxercise, were introduced for various target groups, despite COVID-19 challenges.
Commitment to good governance, transparency, and ethical practices in line with the Sport Ireland Governance Code remained a priority for KRSP.
