DESCRIPTION:A person appointed to the role of Club Children’s Officer within a club must have firstly completed Sport Irelands Safeguarding 1 (Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness workshop). \nThey should also complete Sport Irelands Safeguarding 2 Club Children’s Officer 3 hour workshop. The aim of this workshop is to help the Club Children’s Officer to carry out their role and support the implementation of best practice in the club. Participants will also receive a Club Children’s Officer Action Planning document as part of the training. Attendees must be over 18 years of age. \nThe Sport Ireland online Safeguarding 2 Workshop (via Zoom) is an interactive course which requires participants to have : \n\nGood internet connection to allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion\n\n\nAccess to email – Zoom link and course materials will be sent out to participants prior to course date.\n\nTo gain accreditation\, it is essential to complete the whole course \nThe online course will be delivered via Zoom.
