SUMMARY:2025 KRSP Inclusive Summer Programme - Adult Volunteer Application
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer application for those over the age of 18 years.\nOur Inclusive Summer Camp programme caters for children who require additional support to engage in activities\, this may be because of a physical\, sensory or a learning disability. The inclusive summer camps gives children a chance to take part in a fun summer camp in a supported environment. \nKRSP is committed to the safe recruitment and the protection of children and vulnerable persons (see our Child Safeguarding Policy on www.krsp.ie). Adult volunteers must be aged 18 years and over. Volunteers will be Garda vetted by KRSP / Sport Ireland. Volunteers selected must be available for training which will take place on June 30th unless they were a previous volunteer with KRSP. Volunteers will also receive Safeguarding 1 training or be asked to provide evidence that they have undertaken Safeguarding 1. \nUnder the supervision of KRSP staff and Activities Leaders\, the role of the Adult Volunteer will be to encourage enjoyment\, fun & plenty of smiles while providing assistance to children to ensure maximum engagement in activities. This will take place in line with our Code of Conduct (see our Code of Conduct for Sports Leaders on www.krsp.ie). \n KRSP runs 4 separate Inclusive Summer Camps throughout the Summer. In the application\, please indicate which camps you will be available for. PLEASE VOLUNTEER FOR AS MANY CAMPS AS POSSIBLE – THE MORE VOLUNTEER TIME – THE MORE CHILDREN GET TO ENJOY THE CAMPS! \nIn return the adult volunteer will receive training\, be mentored and supported by KRSP staff and activity leaders\, and have a rewarding and rewarding experience while supporting children with additional needs to have a fun summer camp. \nFor more information contact Seamus 087 356 7884 or email seamus@krsp.ie
