DESCRIPTION:Who is this for? \nThis is for sports coaches\, committee members\, players\, administrators\, parents and anybody involved in sports clubs in Kilkenny. \nWhat You’ll Do \n\nCreating inclusive and Safe Spaces in Sport\n\nAs an advocate\, you might: \n\nSpeak up when you hear discriminatory language\nBe a point of contact for LGBTQ+ members\nSupport someone who’s coming out.\nEncourage inclusive policies and practices\n\nWhat is an LGBTQ+ Advocate? \nAn LGBTQ+ Advocate is any club member who takes active steps to promote inclusion\, challenge discrimination\, and support LGBTQ+ teammates\, members and friends. You don’t need to be an expert—just someone who cares and is willing to learn \nWhat You’ll Get \nFree training (in person or online); Ongoing support and check-ins; Resources and posters. Connection with other advocates \nFREE training ONLINE or IN PERSON – your choice? Book using the ticket below options below. \n\nOnline training session will be delivered on Tuesday\, October 14th from 7pm to 8.30pm for those who cannot attend the in-person session.\nIn Person training session will be delivered on Tuesday October 21st from 7pm to 8.30pm in Harry’s Bar\, Langton’s\, John Street Kilkenny.
