Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership (KRSP) is excited to announce our Understanding Physical Literacy Workshop, part of Sport Ireland’s Understanding Physical Literacy Week!
This is a free, 3 hour event running from 6pm to 9pm on the 27th March, online via zoom.
What is Physical Literacy?
Physical literacy is the complete understanding of movement – how and why we move. It sets a foundation for lifelong physical activity, boosting health, mental health and confidence.
Who should attend?
Sport Ireland is encouraging those interested in physical activity and those who support others in being active – such as teachers, coaches, and instructors – to sign up for the workshop.
Why should you attend?
We live and work in a world where sedentary lifestyles are increasingly normal – it doesn’t have to be that way. By attending our workshop, you will gain valuable insights into physical literacy, which can be used to decrease this trend. You can learn how to coach others using physical literacy principles, which will help promote lifelong physical activity and engagement in sports. The strategies in this course will be a valuable tool for those who want to improve their own physical activity and for helping those they coach do the same.
Spaces are limited, so book your place below today to avoid missing out!
