Spin for Your Bling – Bike Week 2026

Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership invites everybody to take part in Spin for Your Bling as part of Bike Week 2026. Simply accumulate 40km and earn your bling! KRSP have had a special medal designed for this event.

This is a FREE virtual cycling event. All you need to do is get on your bike and complete 40km by May 18th. There are plenty of safe places across Kilkenny City and County to achieve this and enjoy being out and about on your bike. With brighter spring evenings and improved weather, it’s a great time to get cycling. It can be done solo, with friends or family. You can complete the challenge in one ride or across multiple cycles. There is no time pressure – it is not a race.

You must then upload your proof through link which will be sent to all registered participants or see below. Registrations are limited to 200 entries.

Who can take part

This event is open to:

• Seasoned cyclists
• New cyclists
• Adults & children
• People who haven’t cycled for a while

Please note that parents/guardians must register on behalf of any child under the age of 18. This event is open to people resident in Kilkenny City and County only.

Get friends, family, and work colleagues to sign up and you can all achieve 40km and spin for your bling.

Safety

PLEASE NOTE: You are obliged to cycle safely at all times. Wear a helmet and obey the rules of the road. Please be respectful and courteous to other road users.

Submit your results

You can submit it by uploading your cycle(s) from your device (screenshot/picture from phone, watch, app, etc.) that you have completed 40km cycling.

Medal collection

Spin for Your Bling medals must be collected from:
KRSP, 5 Dean Street, Kilkenny, R95 HD79

📅 Monday 18th May – Friday 22nd May
🕤 9.30am – 5.00pm each day

Remember you must have submitted proof from your device (phone, watch, app etc.) that you have cycled 40km.
