DESCRIPTION:Date & Time & Location\nThursday\, 23rd July\, 6.30pm to 9.30pm\, Online \nAbout the Event\nThis Safeguarding 1 ‘Child Welfare and Protection in Sport’ training is a 3 hour basic awareness course\, looking at how we can keep adults and young people safe and happy within the club environment. This module will help to create and maintain a safe and fun environment for young people within the sports club or organisation. Attendees must be over 18 years of age. \nEssential Information\nThe Sport Ireland online Safeguarding 1 Workshop (via Zoom) is an interactive course which requires participants to have : \n\nGood internet connection to allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion.\nAccess to email – Zoom link and course materials will be sent out to participants prior to course date.\nAttendees must be over 18 years of age.\nTo gain accreditation\, it is essential to complete the whole course.\nThe online course will be delivered via Zoom.\nSport Ireland certificate will be issued by e-mail and participant details are registered with Sport Ireland’s National Database.\n\nSuited To\nThis course is open to sports leaders\, coaches\, parents\, children’s officers and other adults involved in the organisation of sport for young people. \nCost & Booking\n€15 \nContact\nShould you require any further information on accessing the online safeguarding workshop feel free to contact Mairead at mairead@krsp.ie or 087 065 0983.

SUMMARY:2025 KRSP Inclusive Summer Programme - Adult Volunteer Application
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer application for those over the age of 18 years.\nOur Inclusive Summer Camp programme caters for children who require additional support to engage in activities\, this may be because of a physical\, sensory or a learning disability. The inclusive summer camps gives children a chance to take part in a fun summer camp in a supported environment. \nKRSP is committed to the safe recruitment and the protection of children and vulnerable persons (see our Child Safeguarding Policy on www.krsp.ie). Adult volunteers must be aged 18 years and over. Volunteers will be Garda vetted by KRSP / Sport Ireland. Volunteers selected must be available for training which will take place on June 30th unless they were a previous volunteer with KRSP. Volunteers will also receive Safeguarding 1 training or be asked to provide evidence that they have undertaken Safeguarding 1. \nUnder the supervision of KRSP staff and Activities Leaders\, the role of the Adult Volunteer will be to encourage enjoyment\, fun & plenty of smiles while providing assistance to children to ensure maximum engagement in activities. This will take place in line with our Code of Conduct (see our Code of Conduct for Sports Leaders on www.krsp.ie). \n KRSP runs 4 separate Inclusive Summer Camps throughout the Summer. In the application\, please indicate which camps you will be available for.
