SUMMARY:2025 KRSP Inclusive Summer Programme - Adult Volunteer Application
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer application for those over the age of 18 years.\nOur Inclusive Summer Camp programme caters for children who require additional support to engage in activities\, this may be because of a physical\, sensory or a learning disability. The inclusive summer camps gives children a chance to take part in a fun summer camp in a supported environment. \nKRSP is committed to the safe recruitment and the protection of children and vulnerable persons (see our Child Safeguarding Policy on www.krsp.ie). Adult volunteers must be aged 18 years and over. Volunteers will be Garda vetted by KRSP / Sport Ireland. Volunteers selected must be available for training which will take place on June 30th unless they were a previous volunteer with KRSP. Volunteers will also receive Safeguarding 1 training or be asked to provide evidence that they have undertaken Safeguarding 1. \nUnder the supervision of KRSP staff and Activities Leaders\, the role of the Adult Volunteer will be to encourage enjoyment\, fun & plenty of smiles while providing assistance to children to ensure maximum engagement in activities. This will take place in line with our Code of Conduct (see our Code of Conduct for Sports Leaders on www.krsp.ie). \n KRSP runs 4 separate Inclusive Summer Camps throughout the Summer. In the application\, please indicate which camps you will be available for. SUMMARY:2024 KRSP First Aid Course - Cillín Hill
DESCRIPTION:Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership are delighted to run a first aid courses open only to sports clubs in Kilkenny! \nThe recognition\, assessment\, and immediate on-site management of sports injuries are crucial to facilitate rehabilitation and to minimise further risk of harm to the athlete. This course is designed for coaches\, instructors\, teachers\, supervisors\, sports assistants\, and volunteers\, teaches the medical assessment and management of a wide variety of sports injuries. Importantly\, participants will also know how to recognise when professional medical referral is warranted. \nUpon successful completion of the course participants are presented with an Sports First Aid Certificate which is valid for two years. \nIncluded in the training are the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)\, the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the action to take in the event of choking for children. During the resuscitation training we use a ratio of 1:1 (1 manikin for each participant) this gives you the maximum hands-on practical training and affords the best hygiene standards. \nThe course takes place from 9-4pm in Unit 9\, Cillian Hill.  \nOnly 2 volunteers per club is permitted.  \nFor more information please contact Ciara on 085-8782773 or ciara@krsp.ie
