It will be facilitated a qualified bike fitter and a lifelong cyclist. Ian had his own shop here in Kilkenny\, The Cycle Clinic! \nAfter this class\, you will have confidence to carry out basic repairs and replacements to your bike. The class takes place in Sullivans Taprooms on Tuesday May 14th from 7.00pm to 8:00pm. Each participant will also receive their own Bike Maintenance Kit! \nWorkshop includes: \n\nM check\nTyre and tube replace\nLubrication chain\nBrake check cable wear and lube\nTyre pressure check\nAsses wheel for trueness\nBrake tuning\nAnd if you have any quires on anything else you would like Ian to go through!\n\n• ALL participants MUST pre-register online. DESCRIPTION:People of Kilkenny! Did you ever want to learn more about the history and landmarks of Kilkenny? \nThis is a perfect opportunity for you! As part of Bike week we are running a cycling tour of Kilkenny. A great way to see the city and learn more about it. This cycling tour of medieval Kilkenny is the best way to discover all of our historical attractions in a fun\, casual\, yet educational way. We use river bank cycle paths along the River Nore and backstreets so there’s no need to worry about traffic. SUMMARY:2024 KRSP Learn To Cycle Programmes Bike Week
DESCRIPTION:Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership will deliver 3 Learn To Cycle programmes as part of our Bike Week 2024 programme. All programmes will take place in Gaelscoil Osraí (R95 AT85) on the astro turf. Dates:  May 1st to 3rd\, 2024 inclusive. Please note age groups below and ensure to book into the appropriate programme. \n\nLearn 2 Cycle Adults – mixed ability group from 3pm – 4pm\n\n\nLearn 2 Cycle – Children – mixed ability group.  Ages 5 to 7 years – 4pm – 5pm;       Age 8 years and over 5pm – 6pm\n\nAll programmes €15 per person with support from Bike Week 2024 programme. All participants must have their own working bike and helmet. \n***IMPORTANT*** please read \nPLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOU ATTEND: All participants must have a properly working bike or balance bike for this programme. The brakes and gears MUST WORK PROPERLY. The tyres must be CORRECTLY INFLATED (see side of tyre for this information). Please do not attend the programme with a bike that is not fit for cycling. Our tutors are engaged to teach cycling and not to conduct bike repairs.  \nALL participants will be required to wear a helmet for the programme at all times – no exceptions. \nNOTE FOR PARTICIPANTS: If you have a bike but are not yet cycling\, please remove the pedals before the first session. Each session lasts one hour and turning up with issues with the bike takes away from tuition time and holds up the session for all the other participants and the tutors. Parents/guardians/care staff must remain on site for the duration of the session.

DESCRIPTION:Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership will deliver a programme of supported swimming lessons for children with disability. These will take place in the Watershed on Wednesdays from April 10th to May 22nd – a 7 week programme. \nEligible Children are those with a disability\, aged 6 upwards and attending school. Please register your child at the appropriate level (see list below). \nTimes: One group of 10 swimmers: 3.30 to 4.10 for improver/advanced IN THE LANE IN THE MAIN POOL \n3 groups of 6 swimmers IN THE LEARNER POOL from: \n3.30 to 4.10; \n4.10 to 4.50; \n4.50 to 5.30 in the learner pool \nWe are delighted that\, once again\, we have a fantastic group of Transition Year students to support the children on this programme for 2024. Our Swim Buddies have been fantastic support on our supported swim lessons. We are delighted that our two swim teachers Daphne and John will be teaching on the programme. \nPlease note: children should attend with their parent(s) / guardian 5 minutes before allotted swim time. Under no circumstance should any child enter the water unless under the supervision of KRSP staff or KRSP swim teacher. Parent(s) / guardian must remain on the facility premises for the duration of the lesson.
