SUMMARY:2024 KRSP Football For All April
DESCRIPTION:Football For All Programme gives an opportunity to play football to people who may not ordinarily get a chance to play the ‘beautiful game’. Many agencies and groups recognise how football can contribute to the quality of life to all participants. \nA new 8-week session starts on Friday\, April 12th from 2-3pm. The programme will run for 8 weeks to May 31st. Thanks to a partnership between KRSP\, Healthy Kilkenny and Freebooters AFC\, this programme is run at a minimum cost to participants. The programme will take place at Freebooters fabulous astro turf venue at Gaol Road\, Kilkenny R95 TWY6. \nThere are two options for payment. You can pay online here with card (€15 for 8 weeks) or pay cash on the first day (receipted). Option to pay cash on first day of programme only. Must book in advance either way so that we have your emergency details etc. If paying cash first day\,use the FREE ticket option here. \nThe programme will have a coach leading activities each week and ALL ARE WELCOME. These will take place in the Watershed on Wednesdays from April 10th to May 22nd – a 7 week programme. \nEligible Children are those with a disability\, aged 6 upwards and attending school. Please register your child at the appropriate level (see list below). \nTimes: One group of 10 swimmers: 3.30 to 4.10 for improver/advanced IN THE LANE IN THE MAIN POOL \n3 groups of 6 swimmers IN THE LEARNER POOL from: \n3.30 to 4.10; \n4.10 to 4.50; \n4.50 to 5.30 in the learner pool \nWe are delighted that\, once again\, we have a fantastic group of Transition Year students to support the children on this programme for 2024. Our Swim Buddies have been fantastic support on our supported swim lessons. We are delighted that our two swim teachers Daphne and John will be teaching on the programme. \nPlease note: children should attend with their parent(s) / guardian 5 minutes before allotted swim time. Under no circumstance should any child enter the water unless under the supervision of KRSP staff or KRSP swim teacher. Parent(s) / guardian must remain on the facility premises for the duration of the lesson.

DESCRIPTION:Come and walk with us on this tutor led programme each Friday morning at 10.00-11.00am. We will be supplying Activator Walking Poles (similar to Nordic Poles) as these help us to stretch\, walk in a nice upright way and they’re also useful for balance and for doing some light exercises when we’re finished our walk. DESCRIPTION:A person appointed to the role of Club Children’s Officer within a club must have firstly completed Sport Irelands Safeguarding 1 (Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness workshop). \nThey should also complete Sport Irelands Safeguarding 2 Club Children’s Officer 3 hour workshop. The aim of this workshop is to help the Club Children’s Officer to carry out their role and support the implementation of best practice in the club. Participants will also receive a Club Children’s Officer Action Planning document as part of the training. Attendees must be over 18 years of age. \nThe Sport Ireland online Safeguarding 2 Workshop (via Zoom) is an interactive course which requires participants to have : \n\nGood internet connection to allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion\n\n\nAccess to email – Zoom link and course materials will be sent out to participants prior to course date.\n\nTo gain accreditation\, it is essential to complete the whole course \nThe online course will be delivered via Zoom. SUMMARY:2024 KRSP First Aid Course - Cillín Hill
DESCRIPTION:Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership are delighted to run a first aid courses open only to sports clubs in Kilkenny! \nThe recognition\, assessment\, and immediate on-site management of sports injuries are crucial to facilitate rehabilitation and to minimise further risk of harm to the athlete. This course is designed for coaches\, instructors\, teachers\, supervisors\, sports assistants\, and volunteers\, teaches the medical assessment and management of a wide variety of sports injuries. Importantly\, participants will also know how to recognise when professional medical referral is warranted. \nUpon successful completion of the course participants are presented with an Sports First Aid Certificate which is valid for two years. \nIncluded in the training are the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)\, the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the action to take in the event of choking for children. During the resuscitation training we use a ratio of 1:1 (1 manikin for each participant) this gives you the maximum hands-on practical training and affords the best hygiene standards. \nThe course takes place from 9-4pm in Unit 9\, Cillian Hill.  \nOnly 2 volunteers per club is permitted.  \nFor more information please contact Ciara on 085-8782773 or ciara@krsp.ie

Cost is €15 for the programme. DESCRIPTION:Come along and GIVE IT A TRY! \nKilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership present a week of activities for adults (18+) with additional needs to ‘try out’. Whether you are already doing some activities with us or whether it’s your first time to engage with us\, you are more than welcome to Give It A Try Week. \nWe have tried to keep the cost to a minimum so that as many of you as possible can attend all the events. The total cost for ALL 6 activities will be €15. You can pay this online or by cash (receipted) on Monday 17th or Tuesday 18th June. \nWhen you are booking\, please\, tick the events you are going to attend. Please note there is unlimited availability for 2 events Community Walk on Thursday and for Football For All. \nALL other activities have a maximum number of participants – spinning (15); cycling on the Watershed track (20); outdoor fun & games in Watershed (30); aqua fun in the pool (20). ONLY BOOK THESE EVENTS IF YOU ARE 100% SURE OF ATTENDING THEM. SUMMARY:2024 KRSP First Aid Course - Cillín Hill
DESCRIPTION:Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership are delighted to run a first aid courses open only to sports clubs in Kilkenny! \nThe recognition\, assessment\, and immediate on-site management of sports injuries are crucial to facilitate rehabilitation and to minimise further risk of harm to the athlete. This course is designed for coaches\, instructors\, teachers\, supervisors\, sports assistants\, and volunteers\, teaches the medical assessment and management of a wide variety of sports injuries. Importantly\, participants will also know how to recognise when professional medical referral is warranted. \nUpon successful completion of the course participants are presented with an Sports First Aid Certificate which is valid for two years. \nIncluded in the training are the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)\, the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the action to take in the event of choking for children. During the resuscitation training we use a ratio of 1:1 (1 manikin for each participant) this gives you the maximum hands-on practical training and affords the best hygiene standards. \nThe course takes place from 9-4pm in Unit 9\, Cillian Hill.  \nOnly 2 volunteers per club is permitted.  \nFor more information please contact Ciara on 085-8782773 or ciara@krsp.ie
