SUMMARY:Callan Community Chair Based Pilates
DESCRIPTION:Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership will deliver Chair Based Pilates/gentle exercise programme specifically for older adults and people with additional needs who are living in the Callan area. We invite everybody to participate. The programme will run from September 23rd to December 2nd with no class on October 28th (mid term / Halloween). \nCome along\, enjoy the company and the Pilates and feel good afterwards. Please note that all participants MUST BE REGISTERED BEFOREHAND – no registrations on the day. You can pay fees with card online or alternatively pay €30 cash on the first and second morning only. Cash payments are receipted.  If you need assistance in booking over the phone please contact seamus@krsp.ie or 087 3567884 or ring the office 056 7794991. \nPLEASE NOTE: participants with additional needs must attend with a carer who must remain with them throughout. \nAs this programme has limited spaces – cancellations will only be granted if requested 5 working days before the programme starts.

SUMMARY:2024 KRSP Buggy Buddies Sept- Oct
DESCRIPTION:KRSP is starting Buggy Buddies\, it is a physical activity programme for new mothers from six weeks postpartum. The programme is a way for mothers to ease their way back into physical activity after having a baby and also to meet other mothers in their area.  \n  \nThe programme runs in six week block and is facilitated by a fully qualified exercise professional! The programme will run from 10:30-11:am Thursday the 19th – 24th of October. The meeting point in the Hurling Statue at the Canal Square in Kilkenny City. \n  \nAll participants must pre-register. SUMMARY:2024 KRSP Online Safeguarding 1: 12th September
DESCRIPTION:This session is now full\, other dates are available on the 10th Oct 14th Nov or 28th Nov.  \nThis Safeguarding 1 ‘Child Welfare and Protection in Sport’ training is a 3 hour basic awareness course\, looking at how we can keep adults and young people safe and happy within the club environment. This course is open to sports leaders\, coaches\, parents\, children’s officers and other adults involved in the organisation of sport for young people. This module will help to create and maintain a safe and fun environment for young people within the sports club or organisation. Attendees must be over 18 years of age.\n\n\nThe Sport Ireland online Safeguarding 1 Workshop (via Zoom) is an interactive course which requires participants to have : \n\nGood internet connection to allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion\n\n\nAccess to email – Zoom link and course materials will be sent out to participants prior to course date.\n\nTo gain accreditation\, it is essential to complete the whole course \nThe online course will be delivered via Zoom. DESCRIPTION:HerOutdoors is a week designated to encouraging women and girls to get active in the outdoors! This year we have a multiple programmes and courses available to get females out and moving! HerOutdoors week is the 12th – 18th of August. \n  \nMountain Biking programme is open to women over 18 years old to learn how to do Mountain Biking with a trained instructor. This is open to complete beginners! It will take place in Castlecomer Discovery Park. Over 4 weeks you will learn skills\, confidence and take on some trails ! \n  \nThis is a 4 week programme starting Saturday the 17th of August at 11am and finish on the 7th of September! SUMMARY:2024 KRSP Ladies Lets Move
DESCRIPTION:KRSP is delighted to kick start a 6 week Ladies Lets Move programme!  \nThis programme is for women of all ages to get out and get fit! This outside exercise class taking place in Emeralds GAA astro turf\, will target all areas of the body. All exercises can be modified if you believe that some might be too difficult. This is a great way to get out in your community with your friends\, family or neighbors! \nSessions will take place every Monday from the 12th of August till 16th of September from 7:30-8:30pm. \n  \nPre-registration is necessary.
