SUMMARY:KRSP - STRETCH & MOVE AUTUMN 2024
DESCRIPTION:Come and walk with us on this tutor led programme each Friday morning at 10.00-11.00am. The programme is 10 weeks long from September 27th to December 6th with no walk on November 1st (mid term / Halloween). \nMeet at the Coffee Shop in Kilkenny Castle Park each Friday morning for 10am start. We will be supplying Activator Walking Poles (similar to Nordic Poles) as these help us to stretch\, walk in a nice upright way and they’re also useful for balance and for doing some light exercises when we’re finished our walk. You don’t have to use the poles if you don’t wish. ALL levels and abilities are welcome to join in the programme and we look forward to seeing you there. Nobody will be left behind. Our Learn To Cycle Programme is here to help and teaches the fundamentals of cycling  Our programmes teach cycling in a safe and supportive environment. Experienced instructors Small group sizes Fun and engaging activities \nLet’s get those stabilisers off and watch them soar! Limited spaces available\, only €15 per person \n***IMPORTANT*** please read \nPLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOU ATTEND: All participants must have a properly working bike or balance bike for this programme. The brakes and gears MUST WORK PROPERLY. The tyres must be CORRECTLY INFLATED (see side of tyre for this information). Please do not attend the programme with a bike that is not fit for cycling. Our tutors are engaged to teach cycling and not to conduct bike repairs. \nALL participants will be required to wear a helmet for the programme at all times – no exceptions. \nNOTE FOR PARTICIPANTS: If you have a bike but are not yet cycling\, please remove the pedals before the first session. Each session lasts one hour and turning up with issues with the bike takes away from tuition time and holds up the session for all the other participants and the tutors. Parents/guardians/care staff must remain on site for the duration of the session.

DESCRIPTION:Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership will deliver Chair Based Pilates exercise programme specifically for older adults and adults with additional needs who are living in the Callan area. We invite everybody to participate. The programme will run from Monday January 13th to April 14th – 12 weeks. PLEASE NOTE: there will be no class on the following Mondays – February 3rd (St. Brigid’s Day Holiday; March 17th St Patrick’s Day; April 21st Easter Monday). We invite you all to come along\, enjoy the company and the Pilates and feel good afterwards. \nPlease note that all participants MUST BE REGISTERED BEFOREHAND – no registrations on the day. Under no circumstance can somebody attend without being registered – no exceptions. You can pay fees with card online or alternatively register online and pay €35 cash on the first or second morning only. DESCRIPTION:A new 12-week session starts on Monday\, January 13th from 2.30 to 3.30pm each week. Thanks to a support from Healthy Kilkenny this programme is run at a minimum cost to participants. DESCRIPTION:Walk and Talks is a 8 week beginner and back to fitness walking programme taking place in Kilkenny City! DESCRIPTION:Come and walk with us on this tutor led programme each Friday morning at 10.00-11.00am. The programme is 12 weeks long from January 24th to April 11th. \nMeet at the Coffee Shop in Kilkenny Castle Park each Friday morning for 10am start. We will be supplying Activator Walking Poles (similar to Nordic Poles) as these help us to stretch\, walk in a nice upright way and they’re also useful for balance and for doing some light exercises when we’re finished our walk. You don’t have to use the poles if you don’t wish. ALL levels and abilities are welcome to join in the programme and we look forward to seeing you there. Nobody will be left behind. DESCRIPTION:Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership will resume this programme on Fridays for 12 weeks starting on January 24th to April 11th. There will be a break then for Easter. \nA variety of activities each Friday that are suitable for all to take part in and a relaxed fun environment with no competitive element is guaranteed.
