SUMMARY:Football For All Autumn 2024
DESCRIPTION:Football For All Programme gives an opportunity to play football to people who may not ordinarily get a chance to play the ‘beautiful game’. Many agencies and groups recognise how football can contribute to the quality of life to all participants. \nA new 10-week session starts on Monday September 23rd from 2.30 to 3.30pm in the Watershed. The programme will run for 10 weeks to December 2nd. Thanks to funding from Healthy Kilkenny this programme is run at a minimum cost to participants. The programme will take place at the Watershed Sports Hall. \nThere are two options for payment. You can pay online here with card (€20 for 10 weeks) or pay cash on the first or second day (receipted). Participants must book in advance either way so that we have your emergency details etc. If paying cash\, please use the FREE ticket option here. \nThe programme will have a coach leading activities each week and ALL ARE WELCOME. More participants\, more fun\, better sessions! The sessions will include warm up\, ball skills\, mini game and cool down. The sessions are suitable for everybody. SUMMARY:Callan Community Chair Based Pilates
DESCRIPTION:Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership will deliver Chair Based Pilates/gentle exercise programme specifically for older adults and people with additional needs who are living in the Callan area. We invite everybody to participate. The programme will run from September 23rd to December 2nd with no class on October 28th (mid term / Halloween). \nCome along\, enjoy the company and the Pilates and feel good afterwards. Please note that all participants MUST BE REGISTERED BEFOREHAND – no registrations on the day. You can pay fees with card online or alternatively pay €30 cash on the first and second morning only. DESCRIPTION:KRSP is starting Buggy Buddies\, it is a physical activity programme for new mothers from six weeks postpartum. The programme is a way for mothers to ease their way back into physical activity after having a baby and also to meet other mothers in their area.  \n  \nThe programme runs in six week block and is facilitated by a fully qualified exercise professional! DESCRIPTION:This session is now full\, other dates are available on the 10th Oct 14th Nov or 28th Nov.  \nThis Safeguarding 1 ‘Child Welfare and Protection in Sport’ training is a 3 hour basic awareness course\, looking at how we can keep adults and young people safe and happy within the club environment. This course is open to sports leaders\, coaches\, parents\, children’s officers and other adults involved in the organisation of sport for young people. This module will help to create and maintain a safe and fun environment for young people within the sports club or organisation. Attendees must be over 18 years of age.\n\n\nThe Sport Ireland online Safeguarding 1 Workshop (via Zoom) is an interactive course which requires participants to have : \n\nGood internet connection to allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion\n\n\nAccess to email – Zoom link and course materials will be sent out to participants prior to course date.\n\nTo gain accreditation\, it is essential to complete the whole course \nThe online course will be delivered via Zoom. DESCRIPTION:HerOutdoors is a week designated to encouraging women and girls to get active in the outdoors! This year we have a multiple programmes and courses available to get females out and moving! HerOutdoors week is the 12th – 18th of August. \n  \nMountain Biking programme is open to women over 18 years old to learn how to do Mountain Biking with a trained instructor. This is open to complete beginners! It will take place in Castlecomer Discovery Park. Over 4 weeks you will learn skills\, confidence and take on some trails ! \n  \nThis is a 4 week programme starting Saturday the 17th of August at 11am and finish on the 7th of September! DESCRIPTION:HEROutdoors Week 2024 is running from 12th – 18th August. The aim of HEROutdoors Week is to get more women and girls active in the outdoors! \nKRSP is running a 4-week Outdoor Adventure Programme for teenage girls in Castlecomer Discovery Park starting Wednesday 7th of August & Thursday 8th of August 2024. \nGroup 1 – Wednesday August 7th\, 14th\, 21st & 28th. (6:30 – 8:30PM) \nGroup 2 – Thursday August 8th\, 15th\, 22nd & 29th. (6:30 – 8:30PM) \nThis is a fun filled programme where you are guaranteed to make new friends and be adventurous in the outdoors. Please only book 1 session per participant.  \nThis is our forth year running the programme and it was very successful last year with the girls trying their hand at axe throwing\, banner making\, zip-lining\, stand up paddle board and more! \nSo why not sign up this year and see what is it all about.
