Sign up now! \nKilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership is organising a 6 week in person Bootcamp programme for complete beginners. The Boxercise programme will be led by a fully qualified coach. Cost is €15 for the programme. Limited places available. \nThe aim of the 6-week programme allows participants to have variety in your exercise\, be apart of a group\, have fun and get some exercise in!  \nThis programme is the starting point for anyone wishing to improve their overall fitness. \nThis is a limited event so please book if you intend and are able to make majority of classes! \nALL participants MUST pre-register online. SUMMARY:2024 KRSP Summer Camp Youth Volunteer Application
DESCRIPTION:Youth volunteer application MUST BE completed by a parent / guardian on behalf of the youth volunteer.\nYouth volunteers must be aged 15-17 years old. Those aged 16/17 will be Garda vetted with parental/guardian consent. Youth volunteers selected must be available training which will take place late June. Volunteers will also receive Safeguarding 1 training. \nOur Inclusive Summer Camp programme caters for children who require additional support to engage in activities\, this may be because of a physical\, sensory or a learning disability. The inclusive summer camps gives children a chance to take part in a fun summer camp in a supported environment. \nUnder the supervision of an Activity Leader\, the role of the Youth Volunteer will be to encourage enjoyment\, fun & plenty of smiles while providing assistance to children to ensure maximum engagement in activities. KRSP runs 4 separate Inclusive Summer Camps throughout the Summer. In the application\, please indicate the camps the youth volunteer will be available for. We invite you to apply to become an adult volunteer on our summer programme. \nThe experience gained from volunteering on this summer camp may be of particular importance to those who may be training to be teachers\, SNA\, nursing or care staff. \nUnder the supervision of an Activity Leader\, the role of the Adult Volunteer will be to encourage enjoyment\, fun & plenty of smiles while providing assistance to children to ensure maximum engagement in activities. KRSP runs 4 separate Inclusive Summer Camps in the month of July. In the application\, please indicate the camps that you will be available for. This webinar will be delivered by the Community Sport Development Officer Ciara Kelly and Office Administrator Mairead Maher. \nThis webinar will run through the types of grants available\, the terms and conditions and important dates. \nA link will be sent out to those closer to the date.  \nIMPORTANT: Anybody who wishes to apply for the grants offered by Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership MUST attend the information webinar. If a representative from the club or community group does not attend they will be unelidable to apply for funding. \nAttendance at this webinar will be monitored on the night.

SUMMARY:2024 KRSP TEEN Get Her Kayaking!
DESCRIPTION:4 session kayaking and canoe skills course\, run in conjunction with Kilkenny Aqua Canoe Club members and instructors. \nCourse will run-on Tuesday 30th July until 27th of August (excluding the 20th of August) from 6 to 7pm\, based at KACC premises on Canal Walk. \nParticipants will be introduced to a mix of paddle sports including Kayaking\, Canoeing and Stand Up Paddle(SUP) Boards and will get to experience short river trips\, learn about paddle fitness and will learn about water safety knowledge and skills as well as “Leave No Trace” principles. \nProgression to join KACC canoe club will be possible and encouraged!! \nThis programme is open to teenage girls from 13-18 years old.  \n• ALL participants MUST pre-register online.
