SUMMARY:2024 KRSP TEEN Get Her Kayaking!
DESCRIPTION:4 session kayaking and canoe skills course\, run in conjunction with Kilkenny Aqua Canoe Club members and instructors. \nCourse will run-on Tuesday 30th July until 27th of August (excluding the 20th of August) from 6 to 7pm\, based at KACC premises on Canal Walk. \nParticipants will be introduced to a mix of paddle sports including Kayaking\, Canoeing and Stand Up Paddle(SUP) Boards and will get to experience short river trips\, learn about paddle fitness and will learn about water safety knowledge and skills as well as “Leave No Trace” principles. \nProgression to join KACC canoe club will be possible and encouraged!! \nThis programme is open to teenage girls from 13-18 years old.  \n• ALL participants MUST pre-register online. SUMMARY:2024 KRSP - Reaching New Heights!
DESCRIPTION:Meeting location will vary between a variety of trails and hills across Kilkenny and surrounding areas. Please note transport will not be provided. \nReaching New Heights is a hillwalking course that Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership will be running in partnership with Mountaineering Ireland. This is for adult women living in Kilkenny. Wear good sturdy walking shoes or hillwalking boots with woolly or synthetic socks. Have a backpack with some water and snacks \nThe course will be delivered by a qualified hillwalking leader. DESCRIPTION:KRSP is delighted to kick start a 6 week Ladies Lets Move programme!  \nThis programme is for women of all ages to get out and get fit! This outside exercise class taking place in Emeralds GAA astro turf\, will target all areas of the body. All exercises can be modified if you believe that some might be too difficult. This is a great way to get out in your community with your friends\, family or neighbors! \nSessions will take place every Monday from the 12th of August till 16th of September from 7:30-8:30pm. \n  \nPre-registration is necessary. DESCRIPTION:HerOutdoors is a week designated to encouraging women and girls to get active in the outdoors! This year we have a multiple programmes and courses available to get females out and moving! HerOutdoors week is the 12th – 18th of August. \n  \nMountain Biking programme is open to women over 18 years old to learn how to do Mountain Biking with a trained instructor. This is open to complete beginners! It will take place in Castlecomer Discovery Park. Over 4 weeks you will learn skills\, confidence and take on some trails ! \n  \nThis is a 4 week programme starting Saturday the 17th of August at 11am and finish on the 7th of September! DESCRIPTION:4 session kayaking skills course will run in conjunction with Graiguenamanagh Canoe Club members and instructors! \nThis course will be run on 21st\, 22nd\, 26th and 27th of August from 7 to 9pm. Please arrive 15minutes early to get kitted out! Based at Graiguenamanagh Canoe Club premises at Graiguenamanagh Boat Club. \nParticipants will be introduced to kayaking and also receive their level 1 kayaking skills (and have fun!). Progression to the club will be available where you can go on and receive level 2 kayaking.
