Help Shape the Future of Sport and Physical Activity in Kilkenny

Strategy survey launch

At Kilkenny Recreation & Sports Partnership (KRSP), we’re the team on the ground working to ensure that sport and physical activity is accessible, inclusive and visible across our county.

Now, we’re creating our new strategy for the next five years — and we want you to be part of it.

Your views will help guide how we support people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to get active, stay active and feel the benefits of sport and movement in everyday life.

There are two simple ways to get involved:

or

  • Join a consultation session on Thursday, 2nd October at Mayfair Library, Kilkenny.

Three themed sessions will run across the day. You’re welcome to join the one that feels most relevant to you, or simply the time that suits best. Every contribution is valued, so please come along – even if none of the themes seem to match you directly, your voice still matters.

The sessions are:

  • 10.30am to 12.30pm – Young People: Aimed at secondary schools for youth representation, TYs, Student Councils, Comhairle na nÓg, Primary School teachers, Preschool staff and Youth Groups.
  • 2.00pm to 4.00pm – Community: Community Groups and Organisations focusing on participation and inclusion in sport and physical activity.
  • 6.00pm to 7.45pm – Sports Clubs: Committees, Coaches and Development Officers looking at how we can strengthen and support clubs across Kilkenny.

Refreshments will be served, and we just ask that you to express your interest in advance so we have an idea of numbers.

Please note: the consultation sessions took place on the 2nd October and are no longer available for booking.

If you’re interested in learning more about the work we do and the direction of work, you can read our current strategy here.

Together, we can make Kilkenny a place where everyone feels welcome to enjoy the lifelong benefits of being active.
