This is for sports coaches, committee members, players, administrators, parents and anybody involved in sports clubs in Kilkenny.
What You’ll Do
- Creating inclusive and Safe Spaces in Sport
As an advocate, you might:
- Speak up when you hear discriminatory language
- Be a point of contact for LGBTQ+ members
- Support someone who’s coming out.
- Encourage inclusive policies and practices
What is an LGBTQ+ Advocate?
An LGBTQ+ Advocate is any club member who takes active steps to promote inclusion, challenge discrimination, and support LGBTQ+ teammates, members and friends. You don’t need to be an expert—just someone who cares and is willing to learn

- Online training session will be delivered on Tuesday, October 14th from 7pm to 8.30pm for those who cannot attend the in-person session.
- In Person training session will be delivered on Tuesday October 21st from 7pm to 8.30pm in Harry’s Bar, Langton’s, John Street Kilkenny.
